CAFOD offers the opportunity to join a dynamic team, spearheading the fundraising from institutional donors for a large well respected INGO, as well as providing high quality management of institutional funding contracts. You will work with partner organisations across the globe to combat poverty and injustice and build a strong and proactive civil society. We are looking for a highly motivated individual  to work closely with our programme staff and local partner organisations, to bring about real change in the lives of poor people and translate our plans for development and justice into reality.

Your role

You will work within a large Programme Development & Funding team, responsible for generating and managing approximately a third of CAFOD’s total income. You will help us and our partners to design and grow our development and humanitarian programmes through securing funding from targeted institutional donors, such as the European Union, ECHO, Comic Relief and the US Government.

You will work collaboratively to maintain and strengthen our relationships with key donors. You will contract manage a significant portfolio of donor-funded contracts, ensuring staff and partners are trained in donor compliance procedures and that high quality reports are submitted on time.

Your profile

We are keen to hear from you if you have experience of international development and institutional donors, and an ability and willingness to travel to a wide variety of programme locations. You will need to be fluent in English with excellent spoken and written communication and interpersonal skills, inter-cultural sensitivity and confidence in dealing with a wide range of NGO and faith-based partners. You should have experience of developing successful high value funding applications for institutional donors, as well as of participatory project design with the use of analytical tools. We also expect you to be able to demonstrate knowledge of developing and implementing monitoring systems to track the effectiveness of programmes and an ability to build cooperative, professional relationships with donors.
